Fiji's Northern Islands are characterised by lush rainforests and stunning white-sand beaches. Vanua Levu is the second-largest island in the Fiji Islands, and the largest of the Northern Islands. Laucala, Matangi and Qamea islands lie off the north-western coast of Taveuni and have an abundance of wildlife, particularly nesting birds.

Vanua Levu is the second largest of the Fiji Islands and together with Taveuni, Qamea, Matangi and Laucala make up Fiji's Northern Islands. Savusavu is the main destination for Vanua Levu.
