There are several ANZ Bank ATMs in Luganville and Port Vila.
Banking hours are around 8:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday; however the airport office of the National Bank of Vanuatu is open for all flight arrivals.
Travellers cheques or cash are easily converted into local currency and banks will accept most major credit and debit cards.

Currency
The currency in Vanuatu is the Vatu. A Vatu (VUV) is equal to 100 centimes. Coins are in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 and notes come in denominations of 200, 500, 1000 and 5000. Australian Dollars are also accepted in some shops and restaurants in Port Vila.
Tax
There is a 12.5% Value Added Tax on goods and services in Vanuatu. This is included in most prices.
Tipping
Tipping and bargaining are against local tradition. Rather tip with a smile and a 'thank you'.
