The Tuamotus or the Tuamotu Archipelago are a chain of islands and atolls in French Polynesia.

The Tuamotus are made up of sixteen groups:

  • Anaa
  • Arutua
  • Fakarava
  • Fangatau
  • Hao
  • Hikueru
  • Makemo
  • Manihi (Tikehau is included in this group)
  • Napuka
  • Nukutavake
  • Puka Puka
  • Rangiroa
  • Reao
  • Takaroa
  • Tatakoto
  • Tureia
