Fiji's Northern Islands are characterised by lush rainforests and stunning white-sand beaches. Vanua Levu is the second-largest island in the Fiji Islands, and the largest of the Northern Islands. Laucala, Matangi and Qamea islands lie off the north-western coast of Taveuni and have an abundance of wildlife, particularly nesting birds.
