Raratonga is the main island in the Cook Islands group and home to the capital, Avarua. Raratonga is a popular tourist destination as palm-studded white sandy beaches fringe most of the island. Walk across the island, visit Wigmore Falls or the ancient marae, Arai te Tonga. Rarotonga International Airport provides local and international flights.

Rarotonga is the youngest island in the Cook Islands, a group of 15 islands in the heart of the South Pacific. Avarua, the main town of Rarotonga, is the capital of the Cook Islands. more

Surrounded by a lagoon, Rarotonga is a very popular island holiday destination. Palm-studded white sandy beaches fringe most of the island, with a wide variety of beachfront resorts, hotels and restaurants.
