Manihiki is a triangular atoll, set above an underwater mountain in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific. North of Raratonga, Manihiki is a beautiful island with two villages. Tauhunu is the main village. Manihiki Island is famous for its black pearls found around the lagoon. Rakahanga is Manihiki's sister island and lies 18 miles north.
