Oarsman's Bay Lodge is the most impressive budget accommodation in the Yasawa Islands, near the historic village of Nacula.
Our lodge in Fiji was built in 2000 and named in memory of village elders who once fished in open row boats in the lagoon. Our Fiji lodge was built for the village with the generous support of Richard Evanson, owner of Turtle Island.
Our Yasawa Islands accommodation is located on one of Fiji's most magnificent beaches and situated on a flat stretch of ocean front with a stunning mountainous backdrop. The crystal clear turquoise water and the pure white sand beaches will make your visit into a fantastic dream.
Families are very welcome at our Yasawa Islands accommodation and we will make every effort to accommodate the needs of aged or disabled persons. Just provide the details to our reservations agent at the time of booking and advise full details of any disabilities, allergies or health conditions which may require special attention from the caring staff of our lodge in Fiji.
Our Yasawa Islands accommodation offers a range of activities, great food, drinks and a warm friendly ambiance to its widely diverse international guests. Oarsman's Bay Lodge has no minimum stay but three nights is strongly recommended as the minimum.
Our lodge in Fiji is comprised of six deluxe bures and two family bures, all with private facilities. A large dormitory and a camping ground is also available.
Family Style Bure
The newest additions to our lodge in Fiji are two family style bures with an internal interconnecting door. Accommodating up to six people, there is a double bed with inner spring mattress on one side of the duplex bure and bunks or single bed configuration on the other. A self contained bathroom with shower, basin, toilet and solar hot water system is on each side.
Deluxe Private Bure
The six individual Deluxe Private bures are build adjacent to Nalova Bay. Each bure has private facilities; a double bed with inner spring mattress, shower, basin, toilet and solar hot water system, plus a ceiling fan, a wardrobe and drawer storage are provided. The bure is perfect for couples and a single bed can be added to accommodate three people.
Dormitory
Our Yasawa Islands accommodation offers 13 single beds built on the first floor above the impressive dining and bar area, framing a spectacular view of the azure Yasawas waters. The room is provided with ceiling fans and communal shower and toilet facilities.
Camping
You can bring your own tent or rent a tent. The shower and toilet facilities are shared. Tents can accommodate one or two, with one large family size tent also available for around 6 people.

There are many activities to take part in while you are staying at our lodge in Fiji. You can choose to be active, cultural or just take some time to relax.
Discover the mystery of the Sawa-i-Lau Caves, the rich ethnicity of the Island, the most magnificent beach in Fiji, enjoy the powdered white sand and swim in the protected and tranquil waters of the bay.
Spectacular snorkeling and Scuba Diving experiences are also available amongst the picturesque reefs. Guided dives depart daily and all dives are staffed by PADI dive masters or instructors. They also offer a wide range of PADI courses from introductory dives through to Assistant Instructor.
Go for a hiking trip and soak up awe-inspiring views or enjoy the soothing benefits of a local massage. Relax with a book on a hammock with nothing but the sounds of gently lapping waves to disturb you, or test your skills with those of your fellow guests in a friendly game of volleyball against our staff. Fiercely competitive and ferociously fun.
For a more spiritual experience you can join the congregation at the local church on Sunday or visit the village during the week and catch a glimpse of island life, or be part of a Fiji Lovo Dinner and immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of the Yasawan people.
Just ask one of the friendly staff members at our Fiji lodge about organizing any of the activities and they will happily arrange these activities for you.
