As it is a state of the US, citizens of the US visiting Hawaii do not need a passport. Visitors from all other countries must have a valid passport for six months after your departure date to enter Hawaii.

Visitors from many countries do not need a visa to enter Hawaii for stays of up to 90 days. If a visa is required, one may be obtained without charge from any US consulate.

If you are unsure about visa requirements, it is best to contact the embassy.
