The cooler season is from May to October. The average temperature in the Fiji Islands during the cool season is 22°C.

Rainfall is variable; the warmer season has heavier rainfall, especially inland.

Winds are moderate in Fiji, though cyclones do occur about 10 to 12 times per decade. Cyclone season is usually during the warm season.
